The Catalan Mathematical Society (SCM) welcomes the participants to the fifth edition of the Barcelona Mathematical Days, the triennial international research conference of the SCM, which focuses on current research topics across several areas of Mathematics.

Plenary talks and thematic sessions have been selected by the Scientific Committee for this edition. Special thanks are due to the organizers of the thematic sessions and to the local mathematical community for their support to this Conference.

 

Guidelines for registration

Early registration discount available until 4 September 2026 here.

Participants should select the registration category according to their status (student, speaker, SCM member, etc.) and provide the required personal and payment information. The form also offers the option of full registration, including the conference dinner. Alternatively, the dinner can be added in a subsequent step of the registration process or at a later date.

Information about optional social events, as well as registration for them, will be provided at a later stage.

Participants wishing to register as new SCM members must first complete the membership application form.
Existing members can verify their membership status and update their details using their NIF through this link.

 

Call for posters

Early-career researchers, including PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, are especially encouraged to submit a poster and participate in the conference. Poster submission form is available at the Documentation section, and deadline will be July 31st. Decisions regarding poster submission will be available as soon as possible.

The MetNet International Annual Meeting returns to Barcelona, focusing on how metabolic tissues communicate with one another—adipose tissue, pancreatic islets, liver, and muscle—and how this knowledge can be translated into new therapeutic strategies. Over two days, researchers from around the world will share the latest advances in adipose–islet communication, sexual dimorphism and metabolism across the lifespan, advanced methodologies, therapies for metabolic and rare diseases, and the role of lifestyle and the environment in metabolic health.

This year, there will be no poster sessions. Instead, all abstracts not selected for an oral presentation will be presented as 2-minute flash presentations, providing greater visibility and a more dynamic format for showcasing everyone’s research.

The Catalan Society for the History of Science and Technology (SCHCT) is organizing the 19th Conference on the History of Science and Technology, to be held in Barcelona, at the Institute of Catalan Studies (IEC) on 26–27 November 2026.

The Conference is the scientific meeting that takes place every two years with the aim of showcasing the research and activities carried out by SCHCT members, as well as the work of other researchers in the history of science, medicine, and technology who wish to participate.

  • €100 – Reduced fee for SCHCT members. Available from 16 July to 30 September. (You may become an SCHCT member by completing the membership form available through this link)
  • €150 – Reduced fee for non-members. Available from 16 July to 30 September.
  • €225 – Standard registration fee. Available from 1 October to 6 November.

Payment only by credit or debit card. Registrations are individual.

If you require an invoice issued in the name of a university or another institution, when you reach the "Payment method" section of the registration form, please enter the institution's details directly (institution name, tax identification number (NIF/CIF), legal name, etc.) instead of your personal details.

  • SCHCT Grant Recipients. Once your grant has been awarded (before 15 July), your registration will be processed by the SCHCT Secretariat (schct@iec.cat).
  • Master's Student (Listener) Registration. Free registration is available for students enrolled in the following master's programmes: IILP-UV; UAB-UB-UPF-CSIC; and UB Cultures Medievals, provided they are not presenting a paper. Registration will be processed directly by the relevant master's programme secretariat.
